Dua Lipa is an English singer-songwriter was born in London, on the 22nd of August 1995. She decided to sign with Warner Bros Records in 2014 after she was a model and dropped her debut album, self-titled in 2017. The album reached the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. Eight singles were released, among them Be the Only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). It also rose to number 6 within the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in 2018 as a British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. The album has been certified platinum in a number of nations. Dua Lipa was born August 22, 1995 in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Her parents are of Kosovo Albanian descent. Bosnian descent through her maternal grandmother. Her ancestors also come from the Kosovo town of Peja. Her grandparents were historians as well. Gjin as well as Rina are her twins. Lipa began to learn how to play guitar as well as sing under the guidance of her dad Oda. He is the leader singer/guitarist for the Kosovan-rock band Oda. While at home with her parents, her father would perform his original compositions along with songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing at the age of five. She began singing during Sylvia Young Theater School. Sylvia Young Theater School when she was just nine years young. Lipa covered Beautiful, by Christina Aguilera as well as If Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys. Lipa's record contract with Warner Bros. Records was made in the year 2014. In August 2015 the debut track of hers New Love came out.
